Son of the Sea…

That’s what the name Dylan means. Chosen because we live by the sea in beautiful North Devon and because my husband is Welsh. Couldn’t be more appropriate for our boy for at the first hint of sunshine he’s asking us to visit the “beesh”. This is a regular pastime for our family but with all the biblical weather we’ve experienced of late I have to admit it had been a while…No fear of Dylan being shy about it though – he popped on his wellies, grabbed his crabbing net and confidently strode across the sand at Instow…

beach3We perhaps look a little overdressed as the midday sun was high in the sky but Dylan was sporting a Joules boys polo shirt which kept his neck protected and I assure you the brisk sea breeze required added layers in the form our his smart blue fisherman’s jacket – an item that never fails to draw lots of attention from other Mum’s.

beach5This boy certainly keeps us on out toes…no sooner had his boots touched the sand he headed directly towards the sea – no hint of fear he ran in, fully clothed to leap and splash about – which of course meant I had to join him! It was near enough the perfect day out and we got some great shots for our family album.

beach7…Where’s your favourite place to visit as a family?

Love Sarah xx
