A Dawn Walk At Baggy Point, Croyde

by Sarah on August 29, 2013

So it’s bank holiday Monday and you find yourself awake at 4.50am…what are you going to do..? Haul ass to the coast and go for a walk of course! Nope? Well it wasn’t my first thought when my hubby suggested it either, but after a straight run of 5am starts over the past week and the two of us shift sleeping like ships that pass in the night we decided to go for it and make the most of a beautiful morning in our beautiful part of the world.

Croyde Bay is a special place for us and Baggy Point in particular – it’s where Adam proposed to me on a blustery new year’s eve and the place we hold responsible for Dylan finally arriving into the world some 13 days late…as I pretty much walked him out of my womb out of total desperation!

As predicted, the sunrise was awesome and aside from a few coastal runners who looked very surprised to see us, our little family of three felt completely alone in the world, as we took magical pictures along Croyde Bay at 6am on a crisp and pretty summer’s morning…

Anyone else had an industrious weekend? And do you take advantage of your early mornings, or like me, do you still yearn for more sleep?
