A Little Thank You Goes A Long Way

by Amry on January 7, 2013

Our little family was so very blessed this holiday season! Father Christmas gave freely, along with adoring aunts and uncles & overly generous grandparents – all who showered us with lovely gifts this Christmas! So now that we’ve had a moment to catch our breath after all the festivities, I’m getting to the extremely essential matter of saying a big ‘Thank You’ to our very thoughtful loved ones – and I’m making sure Amelia is involved too!

You see, Amelia may only be 2 (and a half) but I really want to instill in her early on the importance of gratitude. So until she’s old enough to write her own ‘thank you’ notes, I get her involved with the fun stuff. She chooses the stationery, the colour of pen we use and always enjoys fastening the first class stamp. And although I handle the actual correspondence, no ‘thank you’ is complete before she scribbles her own “signature” as such.

How do you or your kids choose to give thanks after receiving gifts on a holiday or birthday? With the fast paced life of a parent it’s sometimes easiest to shoot over a text or e-mail, but there is something extra special and tangible about getting a ‘thank you’ by snail mail. It’s also a good excuse for me to keep my stationery cupboard well stocked (one of my favourite indulgences).

If you’re looking for inspiration for your next declaration of gratitude – then here are a few cute cards to keep on hand…

WHERE YOU CAN FIND THEM:

1. OWL THANK YOU / 2. THANK YOU SO VERY VERY MUCH / 3. MERCI / 4. THANK YOU MUCHLY / 5. LETTERPRESS THANK YOU / 6. TA / 7. THANKS SHALLOT / 8. EMBROIDERED THANK YOU / 9. HANDMADE THANK YOU

Love, Amry xxx
