Strawberry Fields Forever

by Amry on August 14, 2013

Over the weekend we took advantage of a lovely sunny Saturday and headed to a local ‘pick your own’ farm with one thing on our minds … strawberries! We soon realised that we were perhaps a few weeks late to partake of the season’s most sumptuous offerings – but who cares, it was a beautiful day, we were outdoors and enjoying just one of the many things that Britain does best … strawberries in summertime!

thatsallfolksGoing to a ‘pick your own’ farm is kinda the perfect day out for kids – it’s a great energy burner as they run through row after row, they get to soak up some summer sun amongst towering sunflowers & mark off a few of their five a day as they “taste test” the fresh fruit along the way. Come to think of it, for these same reasons, it’s a pretty perfect day out for us parents too! It’s no wonder then why it was at the top of our summer bucket list!

Hope you get a chance to venture out and pick your own fresh produce before the season is over! Your kids & your taste buds will thank you!

Love, Amry xxx
