Suited and Booted

I don’t know where Amelia’s Autumn / Winter wardrobe would be without a good pair of basic boots. It’s our go-to purchase at the start of the cooler seasons and providing we opt for a classic and quality pair, like these Clarks that we picked up from John Lewis, they will see us right through until warmer weather decides to arrive.

I was thinking only this morning, as I zipped up her boots and sent her bouncing off to preschool, how having fewer footwear options in our kid’s wardrobes makes our lives as their mums so much easier. Amelia may be beginning to have her own opinions about what she wants to wear – but whether it’s alongside bright leggings, dressed up with tights & a skirt, or matched with¬†simple skinny jeans – a stylish pair of boots will go with any and every outfit change that may occur. And us mums of young ones know that there are usually several in each day!

The way I see it, by focusing more on the¬†quality of footwear, rather than the quantity we have for our kids, we are doing ourselves a big favour! Far fewer pairs to keep track of and hopefully one less headache over what goes with what. Stick with a basic boot, and you’ll never look back.

As I mentioned, we got these cute brown leather Clarks for Amelia from John Lewis – but they also do beautiful options for Men and Women as well. So, if you’re in the market for a new pair (or two), by all means take a peek.

You dress her so lovely – she looks like a little model! Love the boots, if only they came in adult size!

Thanks! I agree, I’d love the boots in my size too! Along with lots of other clothes my daughter has! :)
